The Aysar Junior Levels
Aysar Junior Quranic Literacy program has 9 levels. Upon completion, students have the option to pursue Talaqqi where they will start to recite Al-Quran from start to end under the guidance of our teachers.
Level 1
Learning the letters
Students will learn all 29 Hija-iyah letters, the three basic vowels and the three extended vowels. Students who have completed this level will have covered 10% of the competency levels.
Level 2
Learning the words
Students will learn the method of combining the Hija-iyah letters to form words and the different types of combination. Students who have completed this level will have covered 20% of the competency levels.
Level 3
Elongations
Perhaps the most important yet neglected component of reading Quranic words is the elongation. At this level, students will be drilled on diffrent type of elongations. Students who have completed this level will have covered 40% of the competency levels.
Level 4
Advance Sounds
Students will be taught the advance sounds such as nasal sounds, Shiddah and Sukun. Students who have completed this level will have covered 50% of the competency levels.
Level 5
Complex words
Al-Quran contains words that require advance skills to read. This level will expose students to the varieties of Quranic words such as position of letter Alif, thick and thin sounds, silent letters and stylistic writing of words. Students who have completed this level will have covered 70% of the competency levels.
Level 6
The sentence
This is the level when students are initiated into learning Quranic phrases and ayat. They will learn the different types of recitation for joint words. Students who have completed this level will have covered 80% of the competency levels.
Level 7
The waqaf (stops)
There are different ways to stop recitation at the end of a sentence or ayat. Students will be taught these different ways of waqaf. Students who have completed this level will have covered 90% of the competency levels.
Level 8
Special Recitations
Al-Quran contains words that are recited in a special manner that does not conform to the normal rules. At this level, students will be taught how to identify these special recitations and how to recite them. Students who have completed this level will have covered 95% of the competency levels.
Level 9
proficiency
The is the final level before students are allowed to progress to Al-Quran. Students will be drilled in reciting selected verses of Al-Quran that covers all the levels they have learnt. Student who have mastered this level will have completed 100% of the competency levels.
Talaqqi
Quranic Recitation
Upon completion of all 9 levels, studens can opt for Talaqqi at their own pace. The Talaqqi will improve and sharpen their ability to recite Al-Quran.
